Most old-school lines still use hot air circulation. The problem? Air is honestly terrible at moving heat. You end up spending half your day just staring at a monitor, waiting for the chamber to hit the right temperature before you can even start. It’s a total drag on your throughput. The problem with “waiting for the air” Think about how hot air works. The heat starts at the element, struggles through the air, and eventually finds its way to the substrate. It’s slow. There’s this annoying lag that kills your momentum. Infrared (IR) heating just cuts out the middleman. Instead of warming the air, it shoots energy directly into the CNT substrate.
